Gyroville Wraps Up First Franchise Year with Expansion into New Markets
Popular Fast-Casual Mediterranean Expands Internationally and Adds Domestic Units in First Year in Franchising; Ends Year on a High Note with Deal to Open First Location in Midwest
BOCA RATON, Fla. (January 17, 2017) – Gyroville showed consumers and investors that the healthy, build-your-own style trend is on the rise by gaining considerable ground in 2016. The popular Southeast Florida Mediterranean fast-casual franchise generated incredible attention from franchise prospects in its first year of franchising, inking deals to bring the brand to new markets in 2017 – including Ecuador, Orlando and the Midwestern United States.
Entrepreneurs Alberto Reyes, his wife Myrian Salas and sister-in-law Carmen Salas signed a deal to open five units in Ecuador in the next 3-5 years. Their first location is slated to open in early 2017 in Quito, Ecuador. Additionally, Kansas’ capital city will get its first opportunity to try Gyroville’s bold, made in-house menu this spring when entrepreneurs Ganna Voskoboyeva and Nataliya Miller open their first location in Topeka. To augment growth, Gyroville also launched an express financing program last year with First Financial Bank, called SBA Express, and committed to finance up to 50 new Gyroville franchises.

The company expects to open six locations in 2017, along with adding another 12 signed franchise agreements to continue steady growth throughout the United States.

Gyroville jumped into the fast-casual scene in 2010. The healthy Mediterranean menu, which offers a modern spin on traditional Greek recipes, has become a customer hit with everything on the menu made in-house daily using fresh ingredients. With its build-your-own model, customers can customize their pita, salad or rice bowl to be as healthy as they wish.
Gyroville was created in 2010 to bring Mediterranean cuisine to the fast-casual market.
